Thought of the Day
I came to the realization yesterday that I have some holy underwear and socks. Now I also realize that I might be telling you way too much about my socks and underwear. In fact, anything at all about my socks and underwear is probably too much information. I think I have for the first time in my life written four consecutive sentences with the phrase, “socks and underwear”. Any way, I stood in my closet on Saturday and found several holy things in my dresser. I know you know why I call them my holy socks and underwear. It is not a religious thing, it is an old worn out holy thing. I have had them too long, I guess. They have holes. They are holy.
How about you? Not your underwear or socks, but you. Are you holy? Let me answer that for you, so shall I say, let me let the Apostle Paul answer that for you. YES! You are holy. You are holy because our Lord Jesus Christ makes you holy. You are holy not because of you but because of Jesus. Now you might have some holes in you, but that is not a problem because we have a God in Jesus Christ who can and will fill the holes that we have. He fills it with love and grace and forgiveness and holiness. You are holy! Never ever forget that fact.
