–1 Corinthians 1:9

Thought of the Day

Corrie Ten Boom grew up in Holland during World War II. She and her family were devout Christians who committed their lives to serving others. Their home became a refuge for those hunted by the Nazis. They risked their lives by protecting those in need. Their non violent resistance was a statement about how the Ten Booms lived out their faith. Corrie Ten Boom wrote a classic book called The Hiding Place. Here are some words of wisdom from Corrie Ten Boom.

“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”

Aren’t these great words of faith and trust? Too often we worry about things that we have no control over. We worry about the future. We worry about the unknown. We like to know everything. Perhaps we ought to remember her words each and every morning. Perhaps if we remember that we know God, things will be better.

Prayer

Lord, Help me to trust in You. Amen.
