Scripture reading
And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.
–1 Corinthians 13:13
Thought of the Day
A few days before Christmas, the family and I went to visit my Aunt Elva. She turned ninety-three this year. She really isn’t my aunt, she is much more than that. She has been a part of my family forever and is most special. As we were leaving, I leaned over to give her a hug and a kiss and to tell her that I loved her. She instantly replied, that she knew that I did. She went on to say, how special it was to be able to know that someone loves you. As we left I realized how awesome it is to know that fact. To be able to know that someone loves you is an awesome feeling. It is a feeling of comfort and security. A feeling of loving connection. A feeling of hope.
So the next time that God looks down and tells you that He loves you so very much, let Him know that you know that He does.
Prayer
Father, I know that you love me. Thanks. Amen.
