Scripture reading
Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
–Ephesians 5:19-20
Thought of the Day
I have this book that is filled with unusual and odd facts and the best and worst of things. Most of the stuff in it is somewhat stupid, but I did read about one of the worst film editing jobs ever done. It was done by a theater owner in South Korea. It seemed that the movie he was to show at his theater was too long for his tastes. He decided to make the movie shorter by removing all the songs in it. That way he could show it more times each day and make more money. Pretty smart guy, huh? Well maybe not, remember that this was listed under the “worse editing” jobs ever. The name of the movie was “The Sound of Music”.
Can you even imagine how empty or lacking “The Sound of Music” would be without the sound of music? It would be terrible. It would kind of be like how empty or lacking our daily lives would be without the sound of music in our hearts speaking to one another with hymns and spiritual songs and praising our Lord giving thanks for everything. So how is your singing voice? Don’t worry. God loves to hear it even if no one else does. Keep on singing.
Prayer
Jesus my Lord, Thank You for everything. Amen.
