Snowflakes

Scripture reading

But Zion said, “The Lord has forsaken me, And the Lord has forgotten me.” “Can a woman forget her nursing child, and have no compassion on the son of her womb?” Even those may forget, but I will not forget you. “Behold I have inscribed you on the palms of My Hands.”
–Isaiah 49:14-16

Thought of the Day

I’m sure that you have always heard that no two snowflakes are alike. That is hard to imagine when you consider that scientists have estimated since the beginning of time, 1,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000 snowflakes have fallen on the world. (Man, I would hate to have the job of counting all those snowflakes.) I won’t bore you with all the details of how snowflakes are formed, but trust me; no two are the same. Each snowflake has about a billion billion molecules. If any two were identical, it would be truly amazing!
Let me tell you what else is amazing. If a simple snowflake is without equal, what does that say about us humans? Every person on this planet is unique in our own special way. And what is hard for us to believe sometimes is that God knows each and every one of us. He knows us and He will never forget us. You see, He has us inscribed in the palms of His Hands.

Prayer

God of All, Thank you for knowing me. Amen.
