Scripture reading
Then Peter said, “Silver or gold, I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong. He jumped to his feet and began to walk.
–Acts 3:6-8a
Thought of the Day
I just heard a great talk from my good friend, Brother Elmo about the impact Christ has on lives and what we are to do as a result of that impact. He talked about how important it is to have the power of Jesus. He talked also about how important it is to have the love of Jesus. He closed with telling us how important it is to have the perspective of Jesus. I had never thought of it in that way before. What Elmo meant is that as people of faith, we must have the same perspective as Christ does. That is, we must see the world as He sees it. We must see people as Christ sees people. We must see others with the same compassion and care and concern and love as Christ Jesus does. If we have that perspective, then we are growing in faith and are beginning to understand what it means to be like Christ.
Prayer
Father, Give me Your eyes to see others. Amen.
