Mystery Tour II

Scripture reading

We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company.
–Psalm 55:14

Thought of the Day

I just got back from an awesome weekend with our SALT youth. SALT stands for Senior Awesome Leadership Team. Over 25 of our seniors spent the weekend on a Mystery Tour. From Saturday to Monday we served others together, we ate together, we worshiped together, we traveled together, we prayed together, we played together, we laughed together, we sang praises to God together, and most of all we grew together as a group. It was an unforgettable time together. During one of our quiet moments, I told the group that I thought we had figured it out a bit. I told them I was so proud of them because it was as natural for us to be praising God as it was for us to be being crazy and having all kinds of fun. It was easy for us to go from whooping it up, to being on our knees in the quietness of our sanctuary in prayer. I think that is how we are supposed to live our lives as Christians. We are supposed to live with Christ being an ever presence in our lives. There was never a time while we were together that anyone watching would not have known who we were. During all our togetherness, most of all we were together with God. Try living your life knowing that God is with you every moment of every day. It makes a difference.

Prayer

Father, Thank you for good friends and the bonds that you bind us together with that are so strong. Amen.
