Scripture reading
For we through the Spirit, by faith are waiting for the hope of
righteousness.
–Galatians 5:5
Thought of the Day
Did you know that Jell-O has been around over one hundred years? Back in 1897, a guy named Pearl Wait came up with the idea of mixing fruit flavoring with granulated gelatin. At the time, it seemed odd, but with a name like Pearl Wait, Pearl was used to people thinking that about him. Sales did not take off like he hoped, so a couple of years later, Mr. Wait sold his Jell-O rights to Orator Woodward for $450.00. Pearl was in parfait heaven for getting so much money. Within eight years, old Orator had turned his investment into over one million dollars. Today, over 1.1 million boxes of Jell-O are sold every day. I imagine that every one of Pearl Wait’s relatives get a little quiet when they walk down the Jell-O aisle at the supermarket because not a one, gets any royalty from Jell-O sales today. Why? Because Wait didn’t wait.
Good scripture today. We all are waiting for the hope of righteousness through the Spirit of the Lord.
Prayer
