Scripture reading
But as they were sailing along He fell asleep; and a fierce gale of wind descended upon the lake, and they began to be swamped and to be in danger. And they came to Him and woke Him up, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” And being aroused, He rebuked the wind and the surging waves, and they stopped, and it became calm.
–Luke 8:23-24
Thought of the Day
Someone recently sent me this in an e-mail. You might have seen it. It is awesome.
“Instead of telling God how big your storm is,
tell the storm how big your God is.”
Too often I think we limit the size of God. We limit our understanding of His interest in our lives. We don’t understand His love, which is limitless. We focus too much on our problems that are giant to us, but can be made small through God. So figure out some things and start telling some of the storms in your life how big your God is.
Prayer
God, With you I can face anything. Amen.
