Thought of the Day
During my recent trip to Costa Rica I had a great experience while worshipping at the church there. The service was over two hours, filled with praise music and prayer and the preaching of the Word. I couldn’t understand hardly any of the words, but I still felt the Spirit move through me. The Pastor led us in a prayer where we all held hands and prayed out loud for one another. This one part was interpreted for us. He said that the reason we were praying out loud was not so God could hear us, He hears even our unspoken prayers, but for those outside the walls of the church to hear. It would show them that we believed in prayer and might speak to them in special ways for Christ.
It was most powerful to hear the many voices pray to God that night. I know there was someone outside who had to hear those prayers. Wouldn’t it be great if we decided every day to live for Christ that day and to not be ashamed or afraid to pray, and sing, and dance, and witness, or whatever we could do to show others that our faith is alive. I can tell you from experience that you never ever know when or how you will impact someone for Christ. So go forth and let others hear and see Christ through you today.
