For as in Adam all will die, so in Christ all will be made alive.
–1 Corinthians 15:22
Thought of the Day
There is a story about something amazing that happened in England during the building of a new highway. In the way of the new road, stood a very old building. Once the building was torn down, the big machines cleared the ground underneath. Once the ground was exposed to the elements with bright sunshine and nurturing rain, a wonderful thing happened. Flowers began to spring up and these were not ordinary flowers. Botanists and naturalists from all over England came to study them. Many of the flowers were identified as plants that were not around any more. The plants were ones that the Romans had brought to England almost 2000 years before and many were now extinct.
The seeds for those plants were seemingly dead, entombed underneath the old building. Once exposed to the sun, new life sprang forth. You have to know what is coming next. Once we are exposed to the Son, we can have new life. Never ever forget that.
Lord, No tomb could keep you in. Be alive in my life. Amen.
