Scripture reading
The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.
–Zephaniah 3:17
Thought of the Day
You have probably figured out by now by reading my sometimes random thoughts, that I see God in a zillion ways and places. He speaks and sometimes shouts out to me as I read or watch tv or see His children around me.
Peter Marshall, former Chaplain of the U.S. Senate, has written some beautiful things. I love these words of his.
“God speaks sometimes though our circumstances and guides us, closing doors as well as opening them. He will let you know what you must do and what you must be. He is waiting for you to touch Him. The hand of faith is enough. Your trembling fingers can reach Him as He passes. Reach out your faith – touch Him. He will not ask, “who touched me?” He will know.”
I picked this scripture today just in case you had not done your Zephaniah reading for today. Also because it is the good news for us as children of God.
Prayer
God, I want to touch you and hear Your loving Voice. Amen.
