Roger von Oech wrote a book, “A Kick in the Seat of the Pants”, in which he lifts up ways for us to focus and re-focus on those things that tend to dog us in life. A determining factor most of the time is how we view problems or roadblocks. It is all about our mindset. To show this he suggests that we do this quick exercise. First, think about the color blue. Now look around the room you are in right now. Find five things that have blue in them. (By the way, blue is my favorite color). Have you made your list? Now that you have a “blue mindset”, doesn’t the color blue jump out at you? I bet that you are now surrounded by blue. All day today, I bet that anything and everything that is blue is going to catch your eye. You see, it is because you now have a “blue mindset”.
Since blue worked so well, let’s try this. Think about Christ Jesus.
