Scripture reading
Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they sang: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!”
–Revelation 5:11-12
Thought of the Day
I just got back from a most awesome weekend. I attended a large youth worker’s convention in Dallas. There were over 4400 people there involved in some way or another in ministering to youth in the name of Jesus Christ. The four-day schedule was packed with seminars and forums and concerts and big group sessions with great speakers and Christian artists and worship and praise bands. I now have a much greater understanding of how it must be to hear the great choir of heavenly hosts as they sing all glory and honor to God Almighty. Words don’t describe how it was to be a part of a 4400 person choir singing, no, shouting great words of worship and praise. Imagine with me if you can, hearing that many people in the giant convention center ballroom, with the floor moving and the chandeliers shaking, lifting these words of praise;
God is bigger than the air I breathe.
The world we’ll leave.
God will save the day and all will say,
My Glorious!!
It was beyond awesome. I’ll never forget it.
Prayer
Father God, You are so worthy. I praise You. Amen.
