Scripture reading
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
–1 John 1:7
Thought of the Day
In last week’s, Newsweek magazine, there was a fascinating article on feet. (I thought about saying that the article stunk just try to be funny.) Anyway this article had all kinds of advice on what problems to watch for and how to take of your feet. It also had a most amazing fact in it. This article said that it is estimated that by the time we are fifty years old that we have walked 75,000 miles – roughly three times around the globe. It went on to say it was no wonder that our feet hurt. Wow! 75,000 miles. Do the math with your age and see how many more miles you have to go until you are fifty. It might make you tired. I figure I am on the downhill stretch. I only have 7,500 miles or so to go until I get to start my second 75,000 miles. I wonder if I get a T-shirt or something when I get there?
I do know what I will receive if I walk those miles in the light as He is in the light. It is a pretty great reward. You can receive it too. Try it.
Prayer
Father, Help me to walk in You. Amen.
